Legacy Editor
This document describes the legacy content editing interface, which provides the following HTML editing options:
- TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor (used by default)
- EDM Designer
- Raw HTML editor
We recommend using the default content editing interface instead of this legacy interface unless you required EDM Designer support.
Split Testing
GreenArrow Studio supports split-testing email campaigns. Split testing sends each content version to an equal share of the recipients unless Automatic Winner Selection is enabled.
To split test a campaign in the legacy interface, click the Turn split testing on
button in the top-right of the content editor:
Clicking the button reveals a tab bar where each entry represents one content version in the split-test:
To duplicate one of the contents in this campaign, use the dropdown to select the name of the source content.
Finally, clicking Add
creates a new content version. If no content is selected in the dropdown, the new content is blank.
You cannot duplicate content that uses the EDM Designer editor.
About EDM Designer
EDM Designer is a responsive content editor with which GreenArrow Studio can integrate.
For Cloud customers, we provide integration with the EDM Designer at no extra charge. Integration is enabled by default.
For On-Premise customers, GreenArrow Studio does not come with an API Key nor license for usage of EDM Designer. To enable integration, an EDM Designer API Account must be purchased separately from EDM Designer.
We do not provide support for EDM Designer. However, if you encounter what you believe to be an integration issue, please open a Support Ticket detailing the issue, then use the WYSIWYG editor while we investigate.
Our integration with EDM Designer works with their API as of April 1, 2017. We cannot guarantee compatibility if EDM Designer makes reverse-compatibility breaking changes to their API.
Using EDM Designer
After enabling EDM Designer Integration, a Responsive
tab appears in the campaign content editor:
Clicking on the Responsive
tab activates EDM Designer:
Campaigns with content created by EDM Designer can be converted to use the TinyMCE or raw HTML editor. However, content created in TinyMCE or the raw HTML editor cannot be imported into EDM Designer.
